Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Community Outreach & Program Coordinator to lead and enhance all community center programs. You will supervise staff, develop curricula, coordinate with partners, and ensure accurate reporting for community initiatives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with child care coursework, 480 hours of experience, and a valid driver’s license. Excellent organizational and teamwork skills are essential in this mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 semester hours in child care or child care development and 480 hours experience
• Experience directing youth and/or senior programs preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• Promote, participate in, and evaluate community center programs and initiatives for outreach
• Develop curriculum, recreation, and other activities
• Partner with outside groups for programming
• Connect families to The Salvation Army through events and programs
• Maintain accurate statistics for all programs
• Provide reports to local groups and organizations
• Supervise staff to keep the center clean and maintained
• Oversee set up and teardown for rentals and programs
• Coordinate building usage with the Corps Administrative Assistant
• Process and distribute center correspondence and memos
• Drive a 12-passenger van to transport participants
• Perform other duties as assigned
