Job summary

The Salvation Army Missoula Social Services program is seeking a Social Services Coordinator. This full-time, non-exempt role administers various social services programs, disburses financial and material assistance, and maintains client records.

The position supports hygiene, food, and employment program activities within the Missoula area. Requirements include AA or higher, at least 2 years in a nonprofit setting, and ability to work with vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• College degree required; AA or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a non-profit or social service setting.
• Experience working with local social service agencies or Missoula Coordinated Entry System.
• Ability to communicate, interact and work with vulnerable populations.
• Must pass TSA background check and maintain mission practices.
• Basic computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database navigation.

Responsibilities

• Answer and respond to all telephone calls and emails.
• Interview, screen and schedule appointments for those seeking assistance.
• Prepare client files and maintain accurate records and statistics.
• Disburse financial and material assistance and maintain inventories.
• Provide support to hygiene center, food program, and employment program activities.
