Job summary

The Salvation Army Prescott Corps is seeking a Social Service Coordinator to manage multiple social service programs, determine eligibility, and supervise staff and volunteers. You will coordinate with community partners, maintain records, and ensure compliance with applicable rules while delivering compassionate service to clients.

Responsibilities include case management, outreach, and annual reporting. A BS degree in social work or related field is required, with strong crisis intervention

Qualifications

• BS degree in social work or related field required.
• Years of experience in a social service capacity may substitute for education in a 2:1 ratio.
• Knowledge of local community resources.
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances.
• Maintain a non-judgmental demeanor, using a professional approach and maintaining boundaries with clients.
• Handle crisis/emergency services for the homeless and working poor by utilizing crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.
• Maximize services within budgetary constraints.
• Become proficient in Salvation Army approved Social Service programs and Link 2 Feed.
• Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Publisher.
• Type 50 wpm; valid Arizona driver's license and clean MVR; pass Fleet Safety e-learning.
• Pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of all Salvation Army Social Service programs (Food Bank, Utility & Rental Assistance, Sally’s Closet, Winter Warming Shelter, Pathway of Hope, Seasonal Assistance, Summer Camp, Back to School).
• Determine eligibility, maintain records, monitor costs, and oversee staff for each program.
• Secure and train volunteers; record statistics related to volunteers.
• Inventory control; intake of clients; distribution of funds and goods.
• Promote special events; manage case load and conduct case management.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to aid clients (motels, transport, etc.).
• Record and file all casework electronically; prepare required reports and statistics.
• Communicate supply needs to supervisor; engage with community partners and attend meetings.
