Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory seeks a Social Services Coordinator in Kent, WA for a full-time role. You will model client-centered service, manage multiple priorities, and ensure compliance with program guidelines.

You will oversee daily operations, coordinate community resources, and handle client records, fundraising, and reporting. Requires strong communication, valid driver's license, and local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years social service experience preferred; three years acceptable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record; travel within local area as needed.
• Most work is in an office environment with frequent interruptions, deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Model an open, client-centered, compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
• Set boundaries and adhere to eligibility and program guidelines.
• Meet and follow Salvation Army policies and program requirements.
• Balance and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Respond to crisis situations in a calm, positive manner.
• Complete tasks, projects and daily requests in a timely manner.
• Provide effective oral, written, and electronic communication.
• Oversee daily activities and day-to-day operations of the center.
• Attend agency and staff meetings as determined by supervisor.
• Banking / Billing - make deposits daily and code vouchers for payment.
• Budget, track, and provide financial stewardship for all funds and donations.
• Record, report and manage all in-kind donations.
• Meet goals and outcomes set by the program and supervisor.
• Interview and assess clients' needs; provide referrals as needed.
• Respond to client assistance calls, emails, and faxes within 24-48 hours.
• Maintain client records, data entry, and reports as required.
