Job summary

Pasco County invites applications for a Human Services Case Manager within the Community Services Department, Human Services Division. This grant-funded role involves interviewing social welfare applicants, evaluating resources, and counseling individuals on social, emotional, or financial challenges.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in social science (or an Associate with 2 years’ experience) and a valid Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related field; or an Associate degree with 2 years' human services experience.
• Excellent written reports and client file documentation.
• Ability to use calculator and basic data entry; typing preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with opioid/substance use disorder or housing support services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interviews social welfare applicants and evaluates resources.
• Makes recommendations for funding or denial of service based on policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Counsels indigent and at-risk citizens on social, emotional, or financial problems within their own limitations.
• Performs related work as required.
