Job summary

Pasco County seeks a Human Services Case Manager in the Community Services Department. The grant-funded role interviews applicants, evaluates resources, and makes funding recommendations under applicable laws and policies.

The incumbent counsels indigent and at-risk residents on social, emotional, or financial issues, promotes self-sufficiency, and maintains accurate case notes. Requires a Bachelor's in Social Science or equivalent, valid Florida driver's license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related field (or an Associate degree with two years' experience).
• Must be able to type and perform data entry; calculator/phone use required.
• Experience with opioid or substance use disorder housing support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview social welfare applicants and evaluate their resources and eligibility.
• Make funding or denial recommendations based on policies and laws.
• Counsel indigent and at-risk citizens on social, emotional, or financial problems.
• Encourage self-sufficiency and independence of social service programs when possible.
• Perform related work as required.
