Under general supervision, worker performs work at full performance level providing a variety of health and human service program activities in a helper capacity. Work involves extensive client contact. Worker often performs work independently under the direction of and in consultation with a professional staff member. Certain areas of assignment may include specific training prior to or within a specific period of time after employment. Work requires the use of an automobile for travel.
Worker may be required to deal with situations which are potentially dangerous to client and worker.
Other duties include data entry in facts computer system, setup and record multi-disciplinary treatment meetings, setup multi-disciplinary treatment meetings, setup appointments with appropriate medical personnel, including physical and mental health. Mandatory overtime may be required for this position.

Example Of Duties And Responsibilities

These positions support social services casework in cooperation with other social services staff. Responsibilities include providing clients with transportation and general supervision. Duties are often clerical in nature and include managing communication, documentation, payment, and reimbursement. These positions maintain up-to-date calendars for other social services staff, scan and file case reports, and log information into client and court cases. Work may involve running errands to ensure clients’ needs for clothing, food, and personal documents are met. They assist clients in identifying and obtaining benefits and services. These positions may act as a point-of-contact for medical and legal professionals associated with cases. Mandatory overtime may be required, and the use of a personal vehicle for travel is necessary. Perform related work as required.
