Job summary

Disability Law Group is seeking a detail‑oriented Case Manager to support clients through the Social Security disability process. You will collaborate with attorneys, manage case files, and maintain proactive communication with SSA offices to ensure timely progress.

You will coordinate documents, prepare for hearings, and monitor outcomes, while upholding empathy and a client‑first approach in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in social work, legal studies, or related field preferred.
• At least one year of experience in case management, social services, or customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
• Empathy and patience when working with clients.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships with clients, attorneys, and agency representatives.
• Knowledge of Social Security disability processes or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily client communication and updates with SSA offices and attorneys.
• Coordinate and submit medical documents and MSS to DDS/OHO.
• Manage case files, transfer documents, and upload briefs via ERE.
• Prepare and conduct hearings; request/obtain medical records ahead of hearings.
• Monitor decisions from ALJ and Appeals Council; route actions accordingly.
• Perform status checks on pre-hearing files and reset follow-up tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline workflows and improve client experience.
