Job summary

Disability Law Group is seeking a Case Manager to support clients through the Social Security disability claims process. You’ll ensure clear communication, meticulous case management, and timely follow-ups, working closely with attorneys to advocate for each client.

Responsibilities include maintaining daily contact with clients and SSA offices, coordinating medical records and statements, preparing for hearings, and monitoring decisions to advance cases efficiently.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor preferred.
• 1+ year experience in case management, social services, or customer service.
• Skills: strong verbal and written communication, organizational, MS Office, case management software.
• Interpersonal: empathy and patience when working with clients with disabilities.
• Problem-solving: proactive in addressing case issues and resolving client concerns.

Responsibilities

• Client communication with SSA Field Offices and OHO.
• Document coordination: email work product with MSS and log mail/faxes.
• Case file management: submit medical records and MSS to DDS/OHO and transfer docs.
• Hearing preparation: final development calls and record requests for hearings.
• Decision monitoring: check ERE for ALJ decisions and route to channels.
• Status checks: 30-day post-submission checks and 60-day follow-ups.
• Process improvement: collaborate to streamline workflows and improve client experience.
