Job summary

Joliet Junior College is seeking a part-time Student Employee, Social Media Editor (Blazer) to manage content for the Blazer TikTok and Instagram accounts and coordinate posting schedules. The role supports the college’s social media presence and student engagement.

The position is part-time, with up to 20 hours per week during fall/spring and up to 28 hours during breaks, offering $15.00 per hour and FWS eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at Joliet Junior College in at least 6 credit hours in fall/spring.
• GPA of 2.0 or above.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent Customer Service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attentiveness to detail, excellent organizational skills, initiative, and multitasking.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Post content to the Blazer Tik Tok and Instagram accounts.
• Coordinate schedule for staff to share in posting of content.
• Perform related other duties as assigned.
