Zusammenfassung

Congregation Shaarei Shamayim, a progressive Jewish community in Madison, seeks a Social Action Organizer to work with our volunteers and community partners. For 2025, our Social Action Committee will focus efforts on community work to support refugees and immigrants.

This position is a temporary (about 5 months), part-time contract position. Hours are negotiable. Compensation is $8,000.

Qualifikationen

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with Madison Jewish community life preferred.

Aufgaben

• Recruit and engage volunteers to participate in advocacy, education, and direct service.
• Organize and manage volunteer action groups focused on education.
• Develop and support liaison activities with partner organizations.
• Assist with the bi-weekly digital social action newsletter.
• Recruit volunteers to lead fundraisers for partner organizations.
• Develop a plan to ensure the long-term viability of the work.
