Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) seeks a Security Operations Center (SOC) Specialist to monitor video surveillance, access control, alarm, and security systems protecting people, facilities, and assets.

You will assess alarm activity, dispatch responders, document incidents, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The role requires monitoring in a 24/7 Security Operations Center with shift coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associates degree in Technical or Criminal Justice preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Security Operations Center or 911 Dispatch Center.
• Some law enforcement and/or military background a plus.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and Internet.
• Experience with physical security, including video surveillance.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and sense of urgency.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to interact professionally with staff, vendors, and customers.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security access control, alarm, CCTV, and related systems.
• Assess potential threats from security cameras.
• Maintain records of work performed and communicate issues to management.
• Answer calls calmly and clearly to customers.
• Provide timely, efficient, and professional service to clients.
• Willingness to work all shifts, weekends and holidays when needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Monitoring Center Manager.
