Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) professional for a 3rd shift role at the Redmond, WA site. You will monitor alarms, dispatch incidents, and manage security communications 24/7 for a global organization with hundreds of locations and 100,000+ people.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of the security or technology industry, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

• Follow through on inquiries and maintain professionalism.
• Work unsupervised while upholding safety and SOPs.
• Adhere to health and safety practices at work.
• Model the Transformation Code of Conduct.

What you will do

Provide alarm and incident monitoring and dispatching, emergency and non-emergency security messaging, and incident escalation, globally 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for an organization that covers hundreds of locations, and over 100,000 people in more than 100 countries.

How you will do it

• Respond to all alarm events and answer incoming calls regarding the customer alarms quickly and efficiently
• Action / respond to both internal / external customer emails
• Answer all incoming calls promptly and effectively in an efficient and professional manner
• Follow through and take ownership on all inquiries where possible
• Work unsupervised and maintain professionalism
• Contribute to well-staff and a safe and healthy workplace through:
• Ensuring awareness and understanding of, and compliance with, standard operating procedures in respect of emergency and evacuation procedures, security, accident and incident reporting, hazard reporting and ‘self-reporting’.
• Take all practical steps to ensure your own health and safety at work, and the safety of others in the workplace e.g. micro pausing, stretching, exercising.
• Role model our Transformation Code of Conduct (CoC)

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to work 3rd shift
• Must be able and willing to work in person at the SOC – located in Redmond Washington.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $24 - $29 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
