Job summary

JG Security, Inc. is seeking a SOC Manager to take full ownership of our Security Operations Center. You will lead a team of SOC Operators, manage the 24/7 schedule, and serve as the link between the command center and the broader operations team.

This leadership role requires proactive problem solving, process improvement, and the design of strong SOPs for monitoring, incident response, escalation, and reporting. You’ll drive efficiency and quality across shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a SOC/GSOC/dispatch or 911/emergency communications environment.
• 1+ year leading or supervising a team.
• Track record of improving processes, not just following them.
• Strong computer skills across multiple software platforms and monitor displays.
• Clear, professional phone and written communication, including direct feedback to field personnel and customers.
• Ability to lead and communicate with team members on different shifts, including those you may rarely work with in person.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions independently.
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and develop the SOC Operators; manage the 24/7 schedule and coverage.
• Maintain cross-shift alignment; set up handoffs and priority updates across day and night shifts.
• Serve as primary contact for field guards; escalate incidents and coach reports to standards.
• Write, implement, and maintain SOPs for monitoring, incident response, escalation, dispatch, and reporting.
• Improve efficiency of VMS, ERP, and reporting tools; reduce wasted effort.
• Spot patterns in alarms and incidents; prevent issues before they escalate.
• Develop and deliver training for operators and roll out new procedures and tools.
• Review incident reports and daily logs for accuracy and consistency.
• Interview candidates and participate in hiring decisions; performance reviews.
• Partner with operations team on site launches, equipment issues, and escalations; coordinate with field.
• Serve as point of contact for serious incidents and law enforcement coordination across shifts.
