Job summary

United Airlines in San Francisco seeks a Manager – Station Operations Center to lead the SOC's daily operations and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth airport performance.

You will oversee staffing, drive strategic planning, monitor performance metrics, and coordinate with NOC, government agencies, and airport partners to respond to incidents and optimize flight schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field experience in an airline operational environment.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive and self-directed management style.
• Superior problem-solving skills.
• Be an influencer among peers and leaders across the organization.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate station future flight planning activities with Networks Planning, Government Agencies and Local Stakeholders.
• Foresee challenges and communicate corrective actions to achieve station and enterprise objectives.
• Maintain and analyze operational performance metrics related to service quality and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with NOC to address system issues impacting safety, security, and operations.
• Oversee resolution of operational critical issues involving departments, service providers, or agencies.
• Manage IRROPs strategic planning and communications to station leadership.
• Manage staffing for Operations Control Managers and Supervisors.
• Provide performance leadership to SOC team and Hub organization.
