Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Research Assistant to support data collection and project coordination for studies in Robeson County, NC. The RA will work with the Project Manager, attend recruitment events, and engage participants at homes, clinics, or community settings to advance research activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, familiarity with REDCap/Qualtrics, and knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
  • Experience with online data capture systems such as REDCap and Qualtrics
  • Working knowledge of IRB, Clinical Trials, or similar compliance regulations
  • Experience reviewing consent forms with study participants in person or over the phone
  • Experience providing technical assistance such as downloading phone apps, syncing devices to apps, or troubleshooting technical issues with study participants

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data collections for research projects in Robeson County, NC.
  • Attend recruitment events and coordinate data collection activities.
  • Provide research support and assist Project Manager with project administration.
  • Engage with study participants at homes, clinics, or public locations to collect data and distribute study devices.
  • Occasional after-hours or weekend data collection sessions; periodic in-person trainings may be required.

Position Summary

UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing is searching for a Research Assistant (RA) to assist with research projects in Robeson County, NC.

The main purpose of this position is to conduct data collections and assist the Project Manager with the administration and operations of all projects. The RA will be responsible for attending recruitment events and collecting data in Robeson County, providing research support, and coordinating activities for all projects.

This role will also require engaging with study participants at their homes, public locations, or in a clinic setting to conduct data collections, provide incentives and/or distribute and collect study devices in and around Robeson County.

This position is located in Robeson County, NC. Periodic training sessions and in-person workdays at UNC Chapel Hill may be required (up to one day per month). Candidates must live in or be within a reasonable commuting distance of Robeson County, NC.

The RA is required to attend research recruitment events and all data collections which may occur after regular business hours and on weekends.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences
