Hiring Range $20.00 - $35.00 per hour; dependent on experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

This Soc/Clin Research Specialist is focused on supporting the grant portfolio and other research projects at the Thurston Arthritis Research Center. Key aspects of the position will include advancing research initiatives through assisting staff with grant development, data analysis, and developing innovative methods for dissemination.
The position will provide support to both qualitative and quantitative data analysis across ongoing and future research projects. This includes assisting with the organization and management of datasets as well as conducting descriptive and summary statistical analyses and interpretation of findings. The coordinator will also assist in the development and preparation of manuscripts, abstracts, and other outputs. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with IRB submission, identifying grant opportunities, and assisting with progress reports. The successful candidate will also participate in other clinical research activities as necessary at the Thurston Arthritis Research Center.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences
  • Coursework in biostatistical analysis, biology, and experience in clinical or research environment
  • Strong writing skills with experience with grant writing
