Job summary

Middlebury College Ski Areas seeks a part-time Ski Area Associate to support mountain operations, focusing on snowmaking and customer assistance. The role is hourly and non-benefits eligible, with starting pay of $21.05 per hour and periodic increases for returning seasons.

Responsibilities include base lodge support, lift operations, snow removal, event setup, truck loading, and trash/debris removal, plus occasional search and rescue support. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No specific experience required.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills beneficial.
• Basic First Aid is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow making equipment during ski season.
• Assist with base lodge operations, lift operations, snow removal, event setup and cleanup.
• Follow established procedures and policies.
• Report safety hazards or violations to supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
• Provide race and event support and assist with search and rescue within ski area boundaries.
