Job summary

The City and County of San Francisco's Controller’s Office is seeking an IS Engineer to support the BI Platform Change project. You will work with the SF Reports & Analytics Team to develop reports, dashboards, and data pipelines using OBIEE, ODI, SQL, and Snowflake.

Responsibilities include data modeling, ETL development, performance tuning, and documentation, with emphasis on delivering secure, standardized analytics for 55 city departments and 75,000 retirees.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a closely related field.
• One year of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and/or maintaining the components of a system or platform.
• One year of substitution options: 1) additional experience or 2) completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program.

Responsibilities

• Analyze interrelationships of business processes, financial data, HR data, and systems to develop reporting requirements and data structures.
• Perform fit/gap analysis to evaluate reporting and data needs.
• Develop and maintain OBIEE/OAS dashboards, analyses, and BI Publisher reports.
• Design and enhance RPDs (Physical, BMM & Presentation Layers).
• Develop ETL solutions using ODI, perform query optimization, and troubleshoot production issues.
