Job summary

City and County of San Francisco, Controller's Office, is hiring a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to drive the BI Platform Change project. You will design and implement data models, dashboards, and data pipelines on Snowflake using dbt and SQL.

Lead collaboration with SF Reports & Analytics and other City staff, ensuring secure, scalable data access, governance and reliable analytics across departments.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in information systems, business processes, or IT project management.
• Hands-on Snowflake administration and development experience.
• Proficient in writing advanced SQL and using dbt for data transformation.
• Experience with layered data architecture for analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage the new BI platform post-migration.
• Develop reports, queries, dashboards, and data extracts.
• Model metadata and tune performance across Snowflake environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and document specifications.
