Job summary

Mervin Manufacturing, Inc. seeks a Finishing Technician for the Day Shift in Sequim, WA. You will operate and adjust equipment to finish boards after lay‑up, assist in quality control, and ensure components meet specifications such as banana height, base contour, and insert sizing.

The role is physical and detail‑oriented, with teamwork in a creative manufacturing environment. Pay is $20.40–$23.85 per hour, starting at $20.40 with potential increases after training.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job repetitively.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Adaptable to minor alterations in daily routine.
• Hands-on work with good eye-hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve boards from Lay-Up department.
• Cut out to general shape with band saw.
• Grind off excess material from perimeter.
• Bevel tip and tail using a file or die-grinder.
• Grind the base by hand and polish with appropriate belts.
• Apply wax and buff to finish as part of QC checks.
• Deliver boards to QC for quality inspection.
• Other duties as assigned.
