Job summary

Mervin Manufacturing in Sequim, WA is seeking a Finishing Technician for the day shift. You will operate and adjust multiple finishing machines, inspect snowboard boards after lay-up, and support quality checks to ensure the highest product quality.

Hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm. Pay starts at $20.40 per hour with progression to higher tiers after training and meeting quality targets.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks repetitively.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Adapt to minor alterations in daily routine while using open work areas and equipment.
• Strong eye-hand coordination and attention to detail.
• Experience with power tools is a plus.
• Self-motivated with good teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve boards from Lay-Up department.
• Cut boards to general shape with band saw.
• Grind off excess material from perimeter with deflash machine.
• Smooth tip and tail using sanding belt.
• Drill through top material to access inserts; tap threads.
• Bevel tip and tail; bevel sidewalls.
• Grind the base by hand; polish with belts.
• Apply wax and buff; deliver boards to QC for inspection.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
