Job summary

Mervin Manufacturing in Sequim, WA is seeking a Finishing Technician for the night shift to prepare snowboards for shipment. You will operate multiple finishing tools, trim excess material, and support quality control by inspecting banana height, base contour, and lamination.

The role requires physical stamina, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. Typical hours are Monday through Thursday 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, with hourly pay of $20.40–$23.85 plus a $1.50 night

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required for QC processes.
• Must be able to perform physical job duties repetitively.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions.
• Adaptable to changes in daily routine and equipment layout.
• Hands-on work with good eye-hand coordination.
• Experience with power tools is a plus.
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve boards from Lay-Up department.
• Cut out to general shape with band saw.
• Grind excess material from perimeter with deflash machine.
• Smooth tip and tail with sanding belt.
• Drill through top material to access inserts.
• Tap threads and ensure cleanliness.
• Bevel tip and tail; bevel sidewalls.
• Grind base by hand and polish edges.
• Apply wax and buff to finish.
• Deliver boards to QC for inspection.
