Mervin Manufacturing in Sequim, WA is hiring a Finishing Technician for the night shift. You will operate and adjust multiple finishing machines to prepare snowboards for shipment, aid QC checks, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required as finishing technicians are part of the QC process.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job repetitively.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Adaptable to minor alterations in daily routine and operate multiple machines.
• Hands-on with power tools; good eye-hand coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve boards from Lay-Up department.
• Cut out to general shape with band saw.
• Grind off excess material from perimeter with deflash machine.
• Smooth tip and tail with sanding belt.
• Access inserts by drilling through top material.
• Tap threads and ensure cleanliness.
• Bevel tip and tail; bevel sidewalls.
• Grind the base with Reichmann belt grinder.
• Polish steel and sidewalls; use fine belts.
• Apply wax and buff; deliver boards to QC inspection.
• Other duties as assigned.
