Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management is seeking a Snow Heavy Equipment Operator for the Lansing, MI winter season. The role involves operating heavy equipment to clear snow and maintain client sites, with on-call shifts and potential full-time opportunities based on performance.

Ideal candidates bring commercial snow removal experience, a valid driver's license (assistance provided), and readiness to work in extreme winter conditions. The position offers weekly pay, paid training, and a referral incentive.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Professional Commercial snow removal experience preferred.
• Valid Chauffeurs License (company will assist in acquiring one).
• Valid MDOT (company will assist in acquiring one).
• Smart Phone required.
• On-call availability including nights, days, holidays, and weekends.
• Access to reliable transportation and ability to work in extreme winter conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards.
• Utilize effective communication for on-the-job issues that may arise.
• Submit details of hours, activities, and materials in an accurate and timely manner.
• Complete all training, onboarding, snow removal safety, and route learning.

Team Member Benefits

• Weekly Pay
• Base pay of $26 - $30+ per hour, depending on experience
• Paid Training @ $18 per hour

Duration

• Position is available for the winter season, typically from November 15 to April 15, with opportunities for full-time positions based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation
