Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Snow Heavy Equipment Operator for the winter season. You will operate heavy snow-removal equipment, respond to on-call shifts, and support the team to keep sidewalks and lots clear during storms.

Compensation includes base pay $26–$30+ per hour with paid training at $18 per hour. The position is part-time, seasonal with flexible scheduling and potential for full-time based on performance.

Qualifications

• Operate snow removal equipment to customer specs and quality standards
• Must be 18+ years old and able to work in extreme winter conditions
• Valid Driver's License and MDOT credentials (assistance provided)
• On-call availability including nights, weekends and holidays

Team Member Benefits

Duration

• Position is available for the winter season, typically from November 15 to April 15, with opportunities for full-time positions based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards
• Utilize effective communication for on-the-job issues that may arise
• Submit details of hours, activities, and materials in an accurate and timely manner
• Complete all training, onboarding, snow removal safety, and route learning
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Professional Commercial snow removal experience preferred
• Valid Chauffeurs License (company will assist in acquiring one)
• Valid MDOT (company will assist in acquiring one)
• Smart Phone
• Experience operating wheel loaders, skid steers, agricultural tractors, tractor- trailers, and bulldozers
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays, and weekend work as needed
• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation
