Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management is seeking a Seasonal on-call Heavy Equipment Operator in Muskegon, MI. You will operate snow removal equipment to clear snow and meet customer specs, while joining a team that emphasizes teamwork and adaptability during winter months.

The role offers part-time, seasonal hours with flexible scheduling and opportunities for full-time positions based on performance and business needs. Prior snow removal experience is preferred and a valid driver’s license is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professional commercial snow removal experience preferred.
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays and weekends.
• Must have access to reliable transportation and work in extreme winter weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow removal equipment to fulfill customer specifications and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively on-the-job issues as they arise.
• Submit hours, activities, and materials accurately and promptly.
• Complete training, onboarding, snow removal safety and route learning.

Team Member Benefits

• Base pay of $24 - $35 per hour, depending on experience

Duration

• Position is available for the winter season, typically from November 15 to April 15, with opportunities for full-time positions based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards
• Utilize effective communication for on-the-job issues that may arise
• Submit details of hours, activities, and materials in an accurate and timely manner
• Complete all training, onboarding, snow removal safety, and route learning
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Professional Commercial snow removal experience preferred
• Smart Phone
• Experience operating wheel loaders, skid steers, agricultural tractors, tractor- trailers, and bulldozers preferred, but not required
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays, and weekend work as needed
• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation
