Job summary

Mathematica, Inc. in Ann Arbor, MI seeks Advisory Services Analysts with SNAP/SNAP E&T experience to support federal, state, and local clients. You will apply policy analysis, research, and technical assistance to drive program improvements.

Minimum two years of relevant work, a Master’s in public policy or related field, strong communication, and ability to collaborate across disciplines. Some travel may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public policy, public administration, economics, nutrition, behavioral or social sciences, statistics, public health, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, including experience with SNAP and SNAP E&T policy, program administration, operations, technical assistance, research, data analysis, or program improvement.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams and take ownership of assigned tasks and workstreams.
• Analyze SNAP and SNAP E&T policies, program requirements, implementation approaches, and operational challenges and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and synthesize qualitative and/or quantitative information.
• Support technical assistance and advisory engagements with federal, state, and local agencies, workforce partners, service providers, and other organizations through activities such as needs assessment, research, development of tools and resources, facilitation, training, and responses to policy and programmatic questions.
• Draft clear, high-quality client deliverables, including memos, briefs, reports, case studies, presentations, technical documentation, proposals, and implementation tools.
• Communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues from multiple disciplines and, as experience grows, lead defined tasks or workstreams with guidance from project leadership.
