Job summary

Mathematica is seeking Advisory Services Analysts with SNAP and SNAP E&T policy expertise to support federal, state, and local clients. The role focuses on policy analysis, technical assistance, and program improvement on multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include translating findings into practical recommendations, drafting client deliverables, and collaborating across disciplines. Travel up to 10% may be required; a master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in public policy, public administration, economics, nutrition, behavioral or social sciences, statistics, public health, or related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with SNAP and SNAP E&T policy, program administration, operations, technical assistance, research, or data analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Some travel may be required, up to 10 percent.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams and own assigned tasks and workstreams.
• Analyze SNAP and SNAP E&T policies, program requirements, implementation approaches, and operational challenges; translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and synthesize qualitative and/or quantitative information.
• Support technical assistance and advisory engagements with federal, state, and local agencies and partners; develop tools and resources.
• Draft clear, high-quality client deliverables including memos, briefs, reports, and presentations.
• Communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences and collaborate across disciplines.
• As experience grows, lead defined tasks or workstreams with guidance from project leadership.
