Job summary

Flex is hiring a Process Engineering Technician in Austin, TX, reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer. You will help keep the production line running, with a first shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include setting up processing equipment, guiding operators, and providing technical support to process development and engineering teams. Prior experience with automated equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training from a vocational program or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of related manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrates functional/process knowledge and contributes to processes.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with all units of measure.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Automated equipment experience or PCBA/SMT exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up processing equipment for production lines.
• Monitor and guide line operators to maintain performance.
• Run test batches and record results for engineering review.
• Provide technical assistance to process development and engineering teams.
• Configure line changes and perform corrective maintenance.
• Follow escalation procedures as needed.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Engineering Technician located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer the Process Engineering Technician will be responsible for keeping the production line running.

Shift – 1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

What a typical day looks like:

Principle Accountabilities:

• Performs set‑up of processing equipment.
• Monitors, audits and provides guidance to line operators.
• Processes test runs and prepares records (breakdown events, scrap, etc.), charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.
• Provides technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
• Line change configuration.
• Performs corrective maintenance.
• Follows escalation procedures.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

• Associate degree, vocational or technical training, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of related experience in Manufacturing.
• Demonstrates functional and/or process knowledge and participates in process.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
• Leadership experience
• Automated equipment work (Preferred)
• PCBA/SMT (preferred)
