PeopleReady in Coeur d'Alene, ID is hiring an SMT Operator for the Post Falls, ID area. You will set up, operate, and maintain SMT equipment to assemble PCBs while following procedures and documenting results.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer literacy and mechanical aptitude required.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
• Experience utilizing hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Surface mount, thru-hole, and hand soldering experience.
• Certification: MT Inspection, IPC‑A‑610, or equivalent.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions from management and leads.
• Read operation sheets and production flow documentation.
• Operate SMT line equipment including Screen Printer, Pick-and-Place, Reflow Oven, and AOI.
• Perform visual inspection of boards for soldering quality and component placement.
• Use and navigate Machine Control Software and Bar Menu systems.
• Perform daily and weekly machine maintenance and document logs.
• Identify and communicate quality trends or defects promptly.
• Suggest updates to Op Sheets and documentation when improvements are identified.
• Participate in ramp-up of new assemblies into production.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all manufacturing processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
