Job summary

Pelco Solutions in Post Falls, ID is seeking an SMT Machine Operator I to set up, operate, and maintain SMT line equipment for electronic assemblies. You will read operation sheets, monitor quality, and ensure safe, efficient production.

The role requires a high school diploma and hands-on experience with SMT equipment such as screen printers, pick-and-place, reflow, and AOI, plus soldering and inspection skills. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude

• SMT Machine operation
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
• Experience utilizing hand tools and/or assembly equipment.
• Surface mount, thru-hole, and hand soldering experience
• Component ID certification, MT Inspection Certification, IPC-A-610, or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and understand operation sheets (Op Sheets)and production flow documentation.
• Proficiently operate SMT line equipment including Screen Printer, Pick-and-Place Machine, Reflow Oven, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Machine.
• Perform visual inspection of boards for soldering quality and proper component placement.
• Use and navigate Machine Control Software (MCS) and Bar Menu systems.
• Perform daily and weekly machine maintenance and documentation log sheets.
• Identify and communicate quality trends, recurring defects, or potential issues in a timely manner.
• Suggest and submit updates to Op Sheets and documentation when discrepancies or improvements are identified.
• Participate in the introduction and ramp-up of new assemblies into production.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
• Follow all manufacturing processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
