Job summary

Pelco Solutions in Post Falls, ID seeks an SMT Machine Operator I to set up, operate, and maintain SMT equipment for PCB assemblies. You will inspect boards, follow op sheets, and ensure quality while maintaining logs and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and hands-on SMT experience. Expect a Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM schedule with benefits including insurance and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude required and strong attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• SMT machine operation experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
• Experience with hand tools and assembly equipment.
• Soldering experience (SMT, through-hole, or hand).
• Component ID certification or IPC-A-610 related knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions from management and leads.
• Read operation sheets and production flow docs.
• Operate SMT equipment: Screen Printer, Pick-and-Place, Reflow Oven, AOI.
• Visually inspect boards for soldering quality and placement.
• Use Machine Control Software and Bar Menu systems.
• Perform daily/weekly machine maintenance and logs.
• Identify quality trends and defects; report promptly.
• Suggest updates to operation sheets when improvements are found.
• Assist in ramp-up of new assemblies into production.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe work area.
• Follow manufacturing processes and safety guidelines.
• Maintain reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
