Job summary

ACDi in Frederick, MD is seeking an SMT Operator to set up, maintain, and operate automated SMT equipment and participate in new product introductions. You will run pick-and-place lines, monitor quality, and collaborate with manufacturing engineering to improve processes.

The role requires hands-on SMT experience, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 training, and the ability to read work instructions. We offer generous PTO, holidays, 401(k) with match, comprehensive health coverage, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; electronics tech training preferred.
• 3+ years hands-on SMT experience with relevant equipment and processes.
• Training on IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and operate SMT equipment.
• Perform changeovers on MyData pick and place machines.
• Load components onto feeders across multiple machines.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes.
• Conduct in-process visual inspections and first article checks.
• Back up other SMT operators as needed.
