Job summary

Encoder Products Company is seeking a detail-oriented SMT Machine Operator to support PCB assembly production. You will operate SMT equipment, inspect assemblies, perform basic troubleshooting and rework, and follow detailed work instructions.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, quality focus, and comfort with microscopes and small components. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits and a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating SMT, automated manufacturing, or production equipment preferred.
• Experience with electronic assembly, PCB manufacturing, or hand soldering preferred.
• IPC soldering certification a plus.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT equipment to manufacture printed circuit board assemblies per production requirements.
• Load, monitor, and adjust machines for accurate production.
• Inspect PCB assemblies for quality and spec conformance.
• Perform component placement verification and defect identification.
• Perform hand soldering and minor rework as needed.
• Follow work instructions and quality standards.
• Record production information and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with setup, material handling and machine changeovers.
• Support wire bonding, film disk processing, or other manufacturing operations as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety requirements.
