Job summary

ACDi in Maryland is seeking an SMT Operator to setup, maintain and operate automated SMT equipment including screen printing, paste inspection, pick-and-place, reflow, AOI and X-ray. You will work closely with manufacturing engineering to improve processes and ensure quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in SMT, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 training, and experience with MyData pick-and-place machines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Electronics technical school preferred.
• 3+ years SMT assembly experience.
• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 training required.
• Experience with MyData pick-and-place equipment.
• Ability to inspect SMT assemblies with microscopes.
• Understanding tape-and-reel, cut tape, JEDEC components.

Responsibilities

• Setup, maintenance, and operation of automated SMT assembly equipment including screen printing, paste inspection, pick-and-place, reflow, AOI and X-ray.
• Perform setup and changeover duties for MyData pick-and-place machines.
• Operate, monitor, and replenish electronic components onto feeders across multiple MyData machines.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes and determine root causes.
• Perform in-process visual inspections and initiate first article processes for all SMT assemblies; back up other SMT operators.
