Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking team members for the Smokehouse department to deliver friendly, guest-focused service and engaging experiences. You will participate in sample activities, assist with meat and deli operations, and uphold safety and quality standards in a busy retail environment.

The role involves multi-tasking, standing for extended periods, and collaborating with coworkers to meet merchandising and guest-service goals. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Friendly, energetic and outgoing personality.
• Able to actively engage guests and have fun with guests.
• Willingness to perform in front of large crowds and draw attention to Smokehouse.
• Ability to multitask and manage several duties simultaneously.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Previous meat cutting/trimming experience preferred.
• Culinary knowledge/background preferred.
• Ability to read and understand information/directions.
• Knowledge of deli and meat department operations.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide fun, friendly and engaging service to guests.
• Engage guests with Smokehouse samples and story-selling.
• Perform tasks per Pit Master character description.
• Operate the department following merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety per company standards.
• Perform product prep, receiving, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain HACCP information log sheets as required.
• Perform light meat cutting duties as needed.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by management.
• Make PA announcements.
