Job summary

EMPACT-SPC/La Frontera Arizona is seeking a SMI Peer Support Specialist to model recovery skills and guide individuals through behavioral health services. You will provide direct client support on the Adult Recovery Team, helping clients develop a self-directed recovery plan and connect to community resources.

The role requires sharing lived experience, maintaining professional conduct, and coordinating with a network of community partners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and Peer Support Certification.
• Must be eligible to obtain Peer Support Specialist Certificate.
• Experience as a recipient of behavioral health services is a plus.
• Must be able to share experiences in a supportive, confidential manner.

Responsibilities

• Model recovery skills and act as a system guide and advocate.
• Provide direct support and participate in the Adult Recovery Team.
• Develop and implement a self-directed recovery plan with the individual.
• Connect individuals to informal supports in the community.
• Assist with completing applications for community resources.
• Identify and remove barriers within the behavioral health system.
• Deliver 40 hours per week with ~30 hours direct client contact.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and weekly supervision.
• Build networks with community-based resources and RHBA partners.
• Access social/behavioral health services for clients when needed.
