Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Raleigh, NC seeks an ITS/Traffic Engineer to deliver technology-driven transportation solutions, including signals, fiber, IP cameras, and adaptive control. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform studies and analyses, and prepare technical documents for ambitious projects. A Bachelor's in engineering and EIT/EI certification are required, with 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Engineer Intern (E.I.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with ITS, traffic signals, transportation technology, or roadway safety projects preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD, MicroStation, and Visio is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ITS and traffic engineering solutions including signals, fiber, cameras, and signage.
• Develop plans and technical deliverables for ITS projects.
• Conduct traffic studies, modeling, and safety analyses.
• Support project delivery through reviews, field observations, and design reviews.
