Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an ITS/Traffic Engineering Intern to join our Raleigh, NC office. You will design and develop plans and drawings related to ITS and Traffic design, including traffic signal design, fiber optic routing, signing and striping, and safety studies.

Ideal candidates have completed 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and are pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's in a related field. Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by start of internship.
• No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn; experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans and drawings for ITS and Traffic design.
• Prepare preliminary man-hour, cost and material quantity estimates.
• Participate in quality checks and reviews of reports, designs and drawings.
