Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Raleigh, NC welcomes an ITS/Traffic Engineering Intern to help design traffic plans, evaluate signaling and fiber routing, and prepare preliminary reports. You will conduct investigations, assist with feasibility studies, and contribute to cost estimates while learning under experienced professionals.

A strong foundation in civil engineering and proficiency with MS Office are preferred. Eligible students should have completed 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree and be

Qualifications

• 60 credit hours toward a civil engineering degree by start of internship.
• No experience required if enrolled in associate's or bachelor's program.
• Basic data entry and MS Office skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop ITS/Traffic plans and drawings.
• Organize ITS/Traffic investigations and analyses with defined scope.
• Prepare straightforward technical reports under supervision.
• Research feasible design approaches and best practices.
• Contribute to specifications, permits, and estimates; QA checks.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and perform field observations as needed.
