Job summary

Vivint Smart Home, an NRG-owned company, is seeking a Field Service Technician/Professional to install and service smart home technology while proactively identifying upgrades for customers. You will balance hands‑on technical work with consultative on‑site sales in a fast‑paced, nationwide team.

You should bring a sales mindset, strong customer service ethos, and a willingness to learn. A valid driver’s license is required and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Sales background in retail, B2C or service-based sales is a plus.
• Strong customer rapport and integrity.
• Technical aptitude in home automation, security or related installs is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot smart home devices (cameras, locks, automation).
• Conduct on‑site sales assessments and upsell equipment upgrades or services.
• Educate customers on system use and safety best practices.
• Pursue coaching and leadership training to advance within the national organization.
