Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Field Service Professional to install, service and support smart home technology in Lincoln, NE. You will build trusted relationships with customers while delivering safe, high-quality service and solutions that enhance home safety and connectivity.

You’ll work independently with an at-home dispatch model, manage appointments and equipment, and earn commission on performance while benefiting from paid training and company resources.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background investigation and pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to pass licensing requirements under applicable law.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while building rapport with diverse customers.

Responsibilities

• Install and service smart home security, thermostat and automation systems, including cameras and smart locks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Educate customers on product features and functionality.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every appointment.
• Conduct onsite evaluations to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements.
• Maintain quality, safety and installation standards.
• Manage daily appointments, work orders and equipment.
• Identify service recommendations and referral opportunities when appropriate.
