Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Field Service Professional in Statesville, NC to install, service and support leading smart home technology for customers nationwide. You will build trusted relationships, diagnose issues, perform installations and deliver solutions that enhance safety and connectivity.

The role emphasizes independent field work with daily scheduling, uncapped commissions, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background investigation and pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to pass licensing requirements under applicable law.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to act with integrity with diverse customers.
• Willingness to learn and use technology.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install and service smart home security, thermostat and automation systems, including cameras and smart locks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Educate customers on product features and functionality.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every appointment.
• Conduct onsite evaluations to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements.
• Maintain quality, safety and installation standards.
• Manage daily appointments, work orders and equipment.
• Identify service recommendations and referral opportunities when appropriate.
