Job summary

Hitachi Digital Services, LLC is seeking a senior Solution/Enterprise Architect to lead architecture for Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives in a manufacturing context. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and IT to design scalable, secure solutions connecting MES, SCADA, PLCs, HMI, DCS with ERP and Maximo.

You will guide architecture governance, assess new technologies, and mentor cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise IT.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Systems Integration, or related IT leadership roles.
• 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions within manufacturing, industrial automation, or smart factory environments.
• Previous experience as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect supporting large-scale manufacturing organizations.
• Proven experience designing enterprise integrations across manufacturing and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Define solution architecture aligned with manufacturing strategy and business objectives.
• Design secure, scalable, and resilient solutions integrating MES, SCADA, PLCs, HMI, DCS with ERP, PLM, QMS, and Maximo.
• Lead architecture for Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives including IIoT, edge computing, and digital twins.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms, cloud services, and vendors to support modernization initiatives.
• Ensure architecture compliance with OT/IT, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership through the project lifecycle from discovery to production support.
• Participate in Agile Solution Pillars, contributing to sprint planning and architecture reviews.
• Develop enterprise integration strategies using APIs, middleware, OPC-UA, MQTT.
