Job summary

Hitachi Vantara Corporation seeks a senior Solution Architect to lead enterprise architecture for Manufacturing Digital Solutions. The role partners with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and IT to design scalable, secure architectures connecting shop-floor technologies with ERP, PLM, QMS, and Maximo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree preferred.
• TOGAF, ArchiMate, or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define solution architecture aligned with manufacturing strategy and business objectives.
• Design secure, scalable, and resilient solutions integrating MES, SCADA, PLCs, HMI, DCS, and enterprise applications.
• Lead solution architecture for Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives including IIoT, edge computing, predictive maintenance, digital twins, AI/ML.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms, cloud services, and vendors to support modernization initiatives.
• Ensure architecture complies with enterprise standards, cybersecurity, OT/IT best practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical leadership through the project lifecycle from discovery to production support.
• Participate in Agile Solution Pillars, contribute to sprint planning and architecture reviews.
• Develop architecture artifacts like blueprints, integration designs, and data flow diagrams.
• Design enterprise integration strategies using APIs, middleware, OPC-UA, MQTT.
• Identify risks and drive governance across initiatives.
• Lead architecture reviews to improve stability, performance, and scalability.
• Stay current with Industry 4.0 trends and cloud platforms.
• Contribute hands-on to application development when required.
