Job summary

Hitachi Digital Services, a global digital solutions and transformation business, seeks an experienced architect to lead manufacturing modernization efforts in Liberty, NC. You will drive architecture for Smart Factory initiatives, integrating MES, SCADA, and enterprise systems with ERP, PLM, and QMS, while aligning with cybersecurity and OT/IT best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred for senior leadership.
TOGAF/ArchiMate or equivalent EA certifications are a plus.
10+ years in Solution/Enterprise Architecture or IT leadership in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Define solution architecture aligned with manufacturing strategy and objectives.
Design secure, scalable MES/SCADA/HMI/DCS integrations with ERP/PLM/QMS/Maximo.
Lead Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives (IIoT, edge, PdM, digital twins).
Evaluate technologies, platforms, cloud services, and vendors to support modernization.
Ensure OT/IT security, regulatory compliance, and architecture governance.
Provide hands-on leadership across the project lifecycle from discovery to production.
Participate in Agile Pillars, sprint planning, stand-ups, and backlog refinement.
Coordinate cross-functional process mapping, design, and integration planning.
Create architecture artifacts: blueprints, integration designs, data flows.
