Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and controls within a commercial facility in Zebulon, NC. The role supports preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to uphold performance and safety standards.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent with several years of relevant experience, and may require Universal CFC certification. Strong problem-solving and MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems, ensuring standards are met.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations.
• Maintain an energy management program to operate systems efficiently.
• Assist with preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials; keep a clean, safe workplace.
