Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring an electrical installer to perform installation and checkout on building systems under supervision, pairing with prime contractors to ensure customer confidence and satisfaction.

You will install raceways, cables, and wiring per codes, mount control equipment, assist with estimates, and ensure proper terminations and accurate as-built drawings. Emphasis is placed on safety and clear customer communication.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or formal training is required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Working knowledge of local electrical codes.
• Able to work independently and determine installation material needs.

Responsibilities

• Installs raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes and customer requirements.
• Mounts and terminates control equipment as needed.
• May assist sales with electrical estimates for retrofit projects.
• Determines and validates termination points to equipment interfaced with the installed system.
• Checks wiring and terminations with test instruments and keeps as-built drawings current.
• Keeps management informed of job needs, progress and issues.
• Completes time sheets, expense reports and on-site documentation.
• Communicates with the customer on arrival and before leaving the work site.
• Adheres to safety programs and policies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
