Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an on-site electrical installer to perform installation and checkout on a variety of systems under supervision.

You will work with prime electrical contractors and interface with customers to ensure confidence and satisfaction with system installations. Responsibilities include laying out installations per codes, mounting equipment, validating termination points, testing with voltmeters, and keeping documentation current.

Qualifications

• Formal training in low-voltage electrical installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Knowledge of local codes as applied to controls.
• Experience determining scope of installation materials; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install raceways, cables and wiring per codes and customer requirements.
• Mount and terminate controls equipment.
• Verify terminations on equipment interfaced with the system (chillers, boilers, RTUs).
• Test wiring with instruments and document findings.
• Maintain communication with management on job progress and issues.
• Complete paperwork and as-built drawings; provide feedback to engineering.
